Margaret L. Hampton

Margaret L. (Pease) Hampton, 53, Indianapolis, passed away November 24, 2018. Margaret was born January 21, 1965, in Indianapolis.

A hard working lady, she was a journeyman electrician for more than 20 years, with the IBEW Local 481. She later worked for Yellow Cab and most recently as a security supervisor for Allied Universal at Pepsi Co./Ryder. Margaret was very handy and could fix anything. She was also crafty when it came to crocheting – making many angels, lap blankets, and afghans. She was an avid collector of all things related to cats. Above all, she was devoted to her family and friends. Margaret always put the needs of others before her own. She will be fondly remembered by a loving family and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary (Hansen) Whitaker; brothers, James T. and Timothy J. Pease; sister, Mariam Pease.

Survivors include her daughters, Sheila (John) Castellanos and Toni Pease; sisters, Joan DeCenzo, Cindy Ford, Mary Pease, and Lucille Boyd; grandchildren, Jasmine Castellanos, Riley Mesa, and Johan Castellanos; great grandchild, Nico Castellanos; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The funeral service will begin at 12 Noon, Saturday, December 1, 2018, in the Daniel F. O’Riley Funeral Home, 6107 S. East Street, with calling hours there from 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Julian Center, https://www.juliancenter.org/donate/. One of my favorite memories of her .is when I went to florida and visited her . We filled tje fountain in front of the hotel with dish soap every night . She said it bubbled up for weeks . After I left .

  5. we were on our path of live on a road to our many work and crafts .as I am older memories are many and we will in the future meet again in a peace and love.

  6. There will never be any words that I can say that would ease the pain that we all are dealing with. I loved Marggie for who she was towards everyone. You will be missed for ever and ever. I didn’t get out to see her as much as I could have and now I don’t have a chance. I know that she is in heaven with her mom, brothers, and sister. I love you Rest In Peace just as you lived in peace.

  10. Debra Howard (Jackie Howard-Buchanan trucking #2775) Margaret always had a hug for me, coming out of her work area to our truck to hug me. She asked about me when I wasnt in the truck. She even offered to get tested to donate her kidney to me. She was more than a friend, she was sister. She saw no color barrior and I genuinely felt she loved me. She will be missed espicially the bear hugs and kisses. I hope she hears me..Margaret, I love you too.

  11. I love and will miss you forever I will never forget all the memories and the love you showed me!!! I will hold on to my memories from all our family trips and all the summers I spent with you! You brought me so many smiles and laughs and we’re always my shoulder to cry on. I love you aunt Margie! Our family will never be the same without you!
