Dearest George (Arfie) and Marianne: My heart is so heavy that both your Mother and Father have died so closely together. I cannot imagine the sorrow and sadness. I remember fondly the many years we were neighbors. Your mother emboddied such a lady-like, prime and proper woman at all times. All the Schafers fondly remember your parents and the both of you and your french poodle, Mademoiselle Sue Ann Babbett McClure. You are in my prayers as you move forward in a life that will be so different than you have ever known before. Sincerely and prayerfully, Marianne Schafer Ries (oldest of Bob and Marita Schafer’s children)
