Mary Anne Murphy

Mary Anne Murphy, 81, Indianapolis, passed away peacefully at home January 25, 2021. Mary Anne was born January 8, 1940, to the late Arthur and Marie (Petit) Poole.
She graduated from St. Agnes Academy. A hard working lady, Mary Anne worked for Duke Energy for many years before later retiring from Conseco Insurance. A devout Catholic and Eucharistic Minister, she was a former member of Mary Queen of Peace in Danville, St. Monica, and most recently was a member of Holy Spirit. Mary Anne was strongly devoted to her family – she loved spending time with her children and caring for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered by her loving family and friends for her kind and compassionate nature.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by siblings, Joseph Poole and Madonna Smith; a grandson, Devon Murphy.
Survivors include her husband, Don Murphy; children, Theresa Page, Mark Murphy, and Mike Murphy; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, January 29, 2021, 10 am to 11:30 a.m., at the O’Riley Funeral Home, 6107 S. East Street, Indianapolis, followed by prayers at 11:30. The Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12 Noon, in St. Mark Catholic Church. Cremation will follow.
