She was a great Lady. When my father was killed in October 1977 she says she had to do something to help my Mom. I told her the laundry wasn’t done and God love her she came over and took the clothes home, brought them back, clean and pressed. One of the best teacher at Holy Name. Mary was full of spirit. She was a great fan and loved sports. She loved her family. I loved visiting their campsite at Monroe. Mary was always welcoming and cheerful. She was a BG and Holy Name Legend. She was an English teacher with passion, always pleasant and a heart of gold. On behalf of the Cahill family, we will remember Mary, Bernie and the entire Eagan family in our thoughts and prayers now and in the days ahead. Love, peace and prayers. Mike and Joan Cahill

I always enjoyed talking with Mary and she always had a story to tell. She was such a beautiful, kind and wise woman whose smile was so contagious…My prayers are with you all.
In loving memory of our Grandma. You will be missed and remembered forever.
Was my favorite teacher of all my years . Loved her energy and attitude and still use some of her phrases to this day. She impacted me so much that I reached out to her 5 years ago to just simply let her know how I felt about her and how much she impacted my life. We spoke for over an hour and just talked about life in general. She will be greatly missed, but her legacy will live in all of our hearts forever. RIP
Judy and I wish to extend our sympathy to Bernie and his family for the loss of his wife and their loved one. May she rest in peace.
Jody & family, please accept our most heartfelt sympathies for your loss. Our thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time.

I loved having Mrs. Eagan as a sub. Always felt loved and safe with her, even though she was tough as nails!! ❤️❤️
Mrs. E is a Beech Grove HOF’er. In all ways, a beauty. She used to delight in mocking us boys with superior wit and humor, but with a wink and a smile that made us feel special, and cared for. Part of something special.. and it was, and always will be to those that were fortunate enough to know her. Prayers to the entire Eagan family from the entire Beloat Family.
To the entire Eagan family. We were all so sad to hear of Mrs. Eagan’s passing. In school, everyone knew you were going to have some laughs when Mrs. Eagan was going to be your substitute teacher that day. She always seemed to have something funny to say when I would see her at events. Again, so sorry for your loss. Please accept my condolences.
