Michael David McKinley, 41, Greenwood, passed away Saturday, December 10, 2016. He was born in Indianapolis on October 25, 1975 to Maynard and Joan Rode McKinley. Michael was a 1994 graduate of Southport High School and worked as a flooring installer for Carpet Country. He was preceded in death by his father; and his brother, Jeff McKinley. Michael is survived by his wife, Michelle McKinley; children, James and Hayden McKinley, Madyson Salisbury; mother, Joan McKinley; brothers, Glen, Guy and Calvin McKinley; and his grandmother, Irene Rode. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Jude Catholic Church with visitation at the church on Thursday from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to an education fund for Michael’s children in c/o Michelle McKinley. Online condolences may be shared with the family at orileyfuneralhome.com.

I’ve known Mike since I was 12 years old. He certainly was a special guy, loved by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed, never forgetten

May the family find comfort from the scripture at Acts 24:15 which says, “And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.” What a beautiful promise for our future!
