Michael E. Lindsay, US Navy, Retired, 76, Indianapolis, passed away November 5, 2021. Mr. Lindsay was born November 5, 1945, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Nelson Franklin and Florence (Grey) Lindsay.
He graduated from what was referred to as Baltimore City College and bravely enlisted in the United States Navy. His Naval career as a Seabee spanned more than 20 years, with three tours in Vietnam, service in Norfolk, Virginia, Gulfport, Mississippi, Spain, Guam, and Australia. Following his service to his country, Michael stayed busy by working in maintenance at Mark IV Manor Apartments. He was an avid New Orleans Saints fan, a loyalty that began when the family resided there until Katrina caused them to relocate. Michael also enjoyed collecting antique clocks and could spend hours wandering country roads that he had never traveled before. He will be fondly remembered by a loving family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Alice (Gagnon) Lindsay; children, Denise Cuevas, David Lindsay, Kari Lindsay, and Jessica Lindsay; many grandchildren, including Jason and Jacquline Lindsay; a sister, Kathy Mayfield.
