Michael "Mike' Anderson

Michael “Mike” Anderson, 52, of Indianapolis, passed away at his residence on February 9, 2020. Mike was born on October 5, 1967 in Peoria, Illinois to Joseph and the late Priscilla (Rothert) Anderson.
Mike was a graduate of Canton High School in Illinois. He worked as an auto mechanic for many years and was most recently an employee of Midas in Greenwood. Mike was a very hard worker who enjoyed fishing, listening to music, and spending time with family and friends when he wasn’t working. Mike will be greatly missed.
Mike was preceded in death by his mother, and his wife, Kathryn (Jackson) Anderson; his brother, Stephen Anderson; and a child, Gregory Laymon.
Along with his father, survivors include his children, Cassondra (Ben) Coulter, Tim (Heather) Sinks, and Steven (Amanda) Layman; 20 grandchildren; and one great grandchild on the way.

I remember when we first met dad. Not even an 2 hours after we felt like we had known each other forever. I loved your hugs and our talks on the phone. You could make me laugh so much. I love you dad. Im going to miss you.
One of my oldest friends…I remember when you first moved into the house on 8th and shortly there after we rode bikes all day and everywhere. I remember all the nights spent at your house and your moms pancakes for breakfast. To this day, I try to make them like her. You will be missed brother.
Many many good times listening to the best of music, “back in the day”. You were nothing but cool to me, Mike. Thank you. I wish you peace. Rest easy, old friend.
