Aunt Caroline and Uncle Arnie, I am so sorry to hear about Neils! We are praying for you and your family as you are dealing with this difficult time. We love you and if you need anything please let us know.
Rest in peace, Neils. We took different paths, but I can hardly remember a day between 1994 and 1996 not spent running around with you. Your eclectic taste in music, fashion, and culture have influenced me ever since, and I still wear the leather Dockers belt you traded me because you cracked my car windshield. Sincerely, Scott Lomax
Neils – the last time I really remember us was before I left for college. My big brother Brent (Twink as a lot of his friends called him) had been dead for 2 years at this point. I see Neils walking down Bakemeyer to our house and I laughed, you never knew when Neils would just show up. He hugged me and told me “if anyone fucks with you while you are at college, you let me know, people die everyday”. It was a laughable moment, but if you knew Neils, you knew he was serious. I had seen Neils a few times after that, but I lost touch and I wish I hadn’t. Love Always. Rest Easy Neils.
Neils you were my big brothers bestfriend and so many childhood memories were with you and our Brenty. I loved you so much as a little girl. Wish I could tell you goodbye. I hope you’re up there with Brent again.
Rest Well Brother All is well -S. Sloan

Arnie, Carolyn, Cloe and Darrin, You have been such a huge part of my life and my heart truly goes out to you. Niels was my best friend for a good 3 years or so. We had some amazing times. I can’t tell you how many times he has been on my mind since those days. He was like my little brother. WISH YOU WERE HERE BROTHER, WISH YOU WERE HERE! Brian Brownlee
Carolyn, Arnie, and Chloe, I am so very sorry to hear the sad news. I can’t imagine what you are going through and our thoughts and prayers are with you. I remember Neils as a little boy when you brought him into the senior center. I am giving you all a virtual hug.

Neils, I remember when we met one summer day across the street from my parents house on Pennsylvania St at the old school house. We were probably 11 or 12 years old. You and another guy were skateboarding So I grabbed my board and ran over to meet you guys. From that day we were hanging all summer until I went back to GA for the school season. I would come back every summer for several years and we’ed hook up, skate and ride bikes everywhere. We built ramps and rail slides out front of your parents and mine. We had so much fun! I know I haven’t seen or heard from you in 20+ years but it seems like last summer we were hanging out! It was so much fun I miss those days! We will ride and skate again someday in heaven. Rest In Peace Buddy!
Sending you my love today Neils, give Brent a hug for me❤️ I miss you both.
