Pamela J. O’Connor, 72, passed away Friday, June 24, 2016. She was born in Kankakee, IL on January 17, 1944 to Russell and Virginia Hemphill. Pamela was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James O’Connor; and brother, Michael Hemphill.

She is survived by her daughter, Seana (Michael) Ray; step-son, Michael (Diana) O’Connor; sister, Judith Hemphill Gonczy; sisters-in-law, Judith Hemphill and Marilyn Therien; grandchildren, Shelby (Michael Abrams) and Connor Bosma, Christopher and Amy O’Connor, Jason (Molly) Ray, Toni Marie (Billy) Pullen; great-grandchildren, Stuart, Brody, Ian, Bryce, Brynlee, and Jason.

Pamela attended Mount Mary University and Ray-Vogue School of Design.

She was a wonderful mother, sister, friend, grandmother, and person. Her family was her life and she will be remembered for her humor and sarcasm, as well as her ability to make anyone smile. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

But know this, the ones that love us never really leave us.

Visitation will be held at Daniel F. O’Riley Funeral Home, 6107 South East St. (US HWY 31 South), Indianapolis, IN 46227 on Thursday, June 30, 2016 from 5-8 p.m.
