Paul A. Jardina, Jr.

Paul A. Jardina, Jr., 91, Indianapolis, passed away peacefully July 13, 2018, while in residence at St. Augustine Home for the Aged. Mr. Jardina was born December 7, 1926, in Indianapolis, to the late Paul A. Jardina, Sr. and Margaret (Bisesi) Jardina.

He graduated from Cathedral High School in 1944 and attended St. Mary’s College in Winona, Minnesota. He proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. Following a brief period of time in the produce business with his father, he founded Jardina’s Lucky Auto Seat Covers. He was in business more than 28 years. He worked part time during retirement years for Magic Mist of Indiana. Mr. Jardina was a member of St. Roch Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Council 3660. He enjoyed various sports and was an avid University of Notre Dame football fan. He was the recipient of the St. John Bosco Award for his faithful service to CYO Athletics. Paul will be fondly remembered by a loving family and many friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia A. (Dugan) Jardina; daughter, Patti Jardina; sisters, Ann Comella and Mary Comella.

Survivors include his children, Steven P. Jardina, M.D. of Carmel, Mark (Susan) Jardina of San Mateo, California, Susan (Neil) Thompson of Fishers, Kevin (Mary Therese) Jardina of Marvin, North Carolina, and Brian (Lisa) Jardina of Indianapolis; 10 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren.

The visitation will be held from 9 am until 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 19, 2018, in the Daniel F. O’Riley Funeral Home. Prayers will be said at 10:30 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., in St. Roch Catholic Church. Entombment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.   1. Paul Jardina was a wonderful man! We had the pleasure of knowing him for many, many years and he came to so many of our family functions we considered him one of us!
