Mr. Jansen was my grade school basketball coach – he liked me for some reason – he would slap me on the back to get my attention – he would yell “arch the ball” “move your feet move your feet move your feet” sometime he would stick his fanny in your stomach to show you how to block out – Thanks Joe for your contribution to youth.
John,
I am so sorry to hear about your Dad. I am keeping you and your family in my prayers. He was a great coach for St Roch and will be missed by the St Roch congregation as well as his family.
We are so sorry for your loss! We always remember Joe, from our vacations, as he was so kind to lend us his “pop up camper”. He was such a kind soul, and left us some of the best memories of our lives! We were able to see “the world”! It afforded us to be able to see sights such as Maine, Yellowstone, The Rockies, The smoky Mountains. He never realized what he gave us, nor what our parents showed us, but today, it is in our hearts and minds. We all still love vacation destinations, and it is clear, that it started with borrowing a pop up camper between cousins! Joe is one of my mom’s first cousins. He has a special place in our hearts, and always will. Rest in peace Joe, and rest in peace, Paul, Jim, John, Jerry, and the beautiful Mary Ann! He was a beautiful loving man!
And be at peace Joe and Jill. Sorry I missed you while typing this all.
You have my deepest sympathy on the passing of your Dad. I really miss the days growing up as your Dad always teased me and made us feel like family. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. Take care.
