I’m going to miss the time Anabelle and I would go watch him and he wouldn’t want to go to bed until nana got home. One night he told Anabelle and I to go to bed and he went to his room and turned on the tv and when we were telling nana and my mom about it he laughed and denied it.
I’ll never forget the first time I met Dick,he & my brother shared an apartment, way back in the day even before he & Mary Ann married, well they had the best parties, this was Holloween as I walked by this casket he had made,it popped open scared the shit out of me.love & will miss him
I will forever miss you Pop! Gone but never forgotten! RIP till we meet again. ߘ
Our condolences to MaryAnn and all the family members. There aren’t enough kind words to describe what a wonderful human being Dick Johnson was and what an impact he had on everyone he met. Being good friends with Dick and Mary for nearly 39 years, I can honestly say, we’ve never met such a kind and loving couple who truly care about family, friends and most importantly, one another. There are way too many stories to share but our best one was coming home one night and having 2 wooden reindeers in our front yard out in the country with lights to top it off. We thought they were real! Come to find out, Dick had made them and him and MaryAnn put them out front. In hindsight, there may have been adult beverages involved. At least on our end. Dick not only had a sense of humor but he was also quite the craftsman. Dick was also like a father figure to me filled with knowledge, wisdom and of course humor. We love you Dick and you will forever hold a special place in our hearts! Our promise to you is to make sure your beautiful wife and our dear friend MaryAnn is never alone and always surrounded by family, friends and wonderful memories. Peace be with you. Dad, you were always just someone that wanted to make everyone and everything better. Mission accomplished. You touch more lives then you will ever know. You raised me to understand things can always be better, but more importantly, what are you going to do to make it that way. You have instiiled in Kyle, the gift of making or fixing about anything. I mentioned earlier, every time I see Kyle doing that, I will always think of you pops. You also gave me a sister and a step mom I will cherish always. I’m sure there are tons of projects to do up there. What a team you and God will make a great workforce!! I love you always.♥️♥️♥️
I met Dick and Mary dealing cards with Elite casinos. They both are such incredible people. Dick almost had a cult following because he was so popular and a fantastic dealer. He hasn’t dealt for a couple of years and he was asked about at almost every show. We became good friends and he will be sorely missed. Love you Dick, farewell Gary Gartrell
