Bob and Eleanor were our neighbors for 30 years. Such a sweet and happy couple you could always share a good conversation with, no matter the age difference. Bob was a classmate of my mother-in-law at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic School. Bob and Eleanor were always so generous too. We will miss Bob as he joins Eleanor at the gates of heaven! Condolences to Kathy, Barb, and all the grandkids. Hope the memories serve as comfort during this difficult time. Please let us know if we can do anything whatsoever. Regards, Tom and Joanie Dale
Thinking of you all during this time of loss and sending you all the warmth and love you need in this moment.
Mr. and Mrs. Reimer were my neighbors when I was growing up. Even once I was out of the house, I always enjoyed giving them a wave when I was going to my parent’s house and would see them outside. I think they may have even given me my first job – collecting their mail and newspapers while they were out of town – for $1 per day. When I was 17 and studied abroad in France for the summer, they made a donation to help offset the program costs. However, they didn’t just send over a check. They invited me over and showed me maps and pictures of where they had been in France and telling me the dos and don’ts of traveling internationally. They also gave me a baggie full of leftover French currency from their last trip as some seed money. I still remember putting that baggie in my carry-on so I would have some handy upon arrival, just in case. For many years, they were like another set of grandparents for me. I’m glad they both were able to lead such full lives for so many years. May they now be reunited again in heaven. My thoughts and sympathies are with you all during this tough time.

Dear Reiner family: My years long friendship and service to Mr Reimer were a pleasure, a duty, and selfish absorption of his decades of family service, military service, business leadership and success in supporting southside employees as I did at the Indiana Eye clinic! Always prim in shirt, tie, & jacket he commanded respect, a salute, and got me to smile with him! So delightful a person, employer, citizen! I glow in remembering the moments with him! Thanks Bob, for your Mentoring ways! Charles O. McCormick III, MD
