Robert Charles Waugh Jr.

Robert Charles Waugh Jr., 72 of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, June 6, 2022. He was born on June 9, 1949 in Indianapolis to Robert Sr. and Dolores Abel Waugh.
Bob was a member of Saint Jude Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was an owner and painter for the family business, William Waugh and Son, which had been in business since 1904.
Family was of utmost importance to Bob. His favorite things in life were being around his family and spending time with all of his grandchildren, whom he loved dearly. Some of Bob’s other hobbies included playing cards, telling a good joke or story, and cheering on the Cubs, Packers, and Notre Dame.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Jean Kocher Waugh; children: Angie (Tony) DiCicco, Pat (Jenny), TJ (Mindy), Dan (Adrienne), Bob (Lauren); siblings: Steve, Mike, Larry, Joe, Mary Burke, and Jim; his 17 grandchildren: Tina, Jason, Emilie, Amy, Pat, Mat, Micah, Jef, Renae, Laylah, Xavier, Eliza, Allie, Sam, Max, Amelia, and Gus; and his 7 great grandchildren with one on the way: Lilly, Beau, Jaxon, Leo, Jack, Luke, and Thomas.
Visitation will be held Monday June 13 from 4-8pm at O’Riley Branson Funeral Service and Crematory, 6107 South East Street, Indianapolis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, June 14 at 2pm at Saint Jude Catholic Church, 5353 McFarland Road, Indianapolis. Burial will take place at Calvary Cemetery following funeral services.

My condolences to the family of Bob . My dad Bill was a good friend of Bob as they share drinks and card playing at the K of C my fondest memory of Bob was helping him paint the old Franklin high school windows One day after carrying the scaffolding up the ladder I was unable to lift it up and over the ladder jack Bob came down his ladder and put my part of the scaffolding on the ladder jack that’s just the kind of man he was he will be missed.
I want to say how sorry I am for the entire family. He was a very good man.

I was saddened to hear of Bob’s passing. Jean, kids, grands, and all of the Waugh family please except our sincere condolences.
