Robert Joseph Daeger, a beloved husband, family member, and friend, was born on January 1, 1953, in Beech Grove, Indiana. He passed away peacefully at home on August 27, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, service, and faith.

Robert dedicated 32 years of his professional life as a Computer Operator for Allison Printing, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication. His educational journey began at Roncalli High School, shaping the values that guided him throughout his life.

Those who knew Robert will remember him as a loving and faithful being, deeply committed to his family and his community. He found joy in simple pleasures, such as walking, playing cards, and cheering on his favorite football and basketball teams. His warmth and kindness touched the lives of many, and he cherished the moments spent creating memories with those he loved.

Robert’s proudest accomplishments include marrying the love of his life, Gloria Benefield Daeger, on November 18, 2017, and being a devoted member of St. Mark Catholic Church, where he participated actively in parish life.

He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria, and his siblings, Joseph (Jerrie) Daeger and Janice (Garry) Courtney. Robert also leaves behind stepchildren, Wendy Mathene, Shawn Harper, and Heather Spieggieser, along with grandchildren Brian, Ariel, Jordan, and Austin. He is survived by relatives, including nieces and nephews who will carry on his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmund and Rosemary (Graybiel) Daeger, and his sister, Joyce Johnson.

Visitation for Robert Joseph Daeger will be held on September 4, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at O’Riley – Branson Funeral Service & Crematory, located at 6107 S East St, Indianapolis, IN 46227. A Mass of Christian Burial honoring his life will take place on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Mark Catholic Church, 535 E. Edgewood Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46227. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
