Roseanne Talbott

Roseanne Talbott, beloved mother, loyal friend, steadfast sister, and caring grandmother, passed away on July 24, 2026, in Greenwood, Indiana. Born on February 12, 1964, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Roseanne’s life was shaped by the warmth of family bonds, the steady pulse of her Midwestern upbringing, and a spirited dedication to those she loved and served.

From her early years in Indianapolis, Anne’s light was unmistakable. She attended Greenwood High School, where her joy for life took root and grew—lessons in community, friendship, and perseverance that would stay with her always. Eager to expand her knowledge and nurture her ambitions, Roseanne continued her education at the University of Indianapolis, a place where her determination and genuine kindness left an indelible impression.

Anne dedicated much of her working life to public service as an accountant for the Department of Natural Resources of the State of Indiana—a fitting career for one who loved being in nature, walking under the open sky or finding solace along a winding trail. The beauty of the outdoors called to her, becoming both a source of joy and a place for reflection, grounding her spirit and providing balance in daily life.

Anne’s truest calling, though, was found within her family. She was a constant, unwavering cheerleader for her sons, grandchildren and family; Austin and Anthony Eagan, standing beside them every step of their journeys. She celebrated not only in their triumphs, but championed every milestone, big and small. Her joy expanded with the arrival of her daughter-in-law, Christiana Eagan, and flourished as she witnessed the laughter and growth of her grandchildren Blakely, River, and Wilder Eagan. These relationships were the heartbeats of her world, and she greeted each new life achievement—every game, every accomplishment—as if it were her own.

The ties of sisterhood were equally precious to Anne. Her sisters, Kathleen Evans and Denise Gates, shared decades of love, laughter, and support, memories that shimmer with the countless moments they created together. Family to Anne meant more than blood; it meant a boundless, inclusive affection. She cherished her Godchildren,  Denise Gates, Chad Bates, and Addie Gates with the same devotion she showed everyone in her circle of care.

Anne’s faith was a quiet, guiding force, and she found community and purpose as a devoted member of St. Jude Catholic Church. Within its welcoming walls she celebrated life’s joys and shouldered its sorrows, always with deep gratitude for her faith and those who shared it.

To know Anne was to know encouragement—a gentle hand resting on your shoulder, an enthusiastic voice from the stands, an ever-present advocate who lifted each hope and dream a little higher. Her legacy lives on in the persistence, promise, and kindness she inspired in others, especially in her children and grandchildren whose lives shine brighter because of her encouragement and love.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Anne’s remarkable life at St. Jude Catholic Church, 5353 McFarland Road, Indianapolis, IN 46227. Visitation will be held on August 1, 2026, from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m.
