Rosemary L. Hutzler

 

Rosemary L. Hutzler, 72, of Indianapolis, passed away on February 12, 2023. Rosemary was born on May 11, 1950, in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, to the late Robert & Helen Gillieron. Rosemary was a Logansport High School graduate, class of 1968 and went on to pursue her education in English at Purdue University, class of 1971. Rosemary loved gardening and could often be found volunteering at Hunger Inc. in Indianapolis. She was kind, independent, charitable and enjoyed helping those in need.

Rosemary is survived by her daughters; Michelle (Steven Bohall) Hutzler and Carrie (Kevin) Golden and grandchildren; Olivia, Elaina, Everett, Ryan and Lydia.

Rosemary is preceded in death by her husband; Michael Hutzler and brother; Louis Gillieron.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at O’Riley-Branson Funeral Service & Crematory on Friday, February 17, 2023, from 11:00am-1:00pm. Burial will be immediately following at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to: Hunger Inc., 1416 E. Epler Ave., Indianapolis, Indiana 46227.

  1. We met Rosemary volunteering at Hunger, Inc. She was delightful to be around and so dedicated to helping others in need.

  4. I worked with Rosemary for many years at Brightpoint (Ingram Micro). She was one of my most favorite people there. I’m so very sorry to hear of her passing. She will always hold a special place in my heart.

  5. I worked with Rosemary at Brightpoint for many years, and had the opportunity to travel with her to the Philippines. It was such a memorable trip for her as she went to a US cemetery in Manila as her father was stationed for a time there. I will never forget her excitement to visit and to feel closer to her family. She will certainly be missed. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.

  6. Rosemary was a great mentor for me at Hunger, Inc. She trained me on how to pack the many bags of food we gave out in 2020-2022. Such a wonderful lady and to organize the school donations. Her service and dedication to the pantry will be missed. Prayer for the family and peace through your memories of her spirit of love.

  7. I just heard from Rose at the Holidays. She is my cousin and I always enjoy our visits. I am shocked to hear of her passing. She was a kind and caring being and I will miss her greatly. Prayers to her family.

  8. I had the privilege of getting to know Rosemary in the past several years at Hunger Inc. She was a delightful lady who gave so much of her time to the pantry. We spent many days together bagging groceries during the pandemic. I will miss seeing her at the pantry. May she rest in peace.
