Stephanie Jane Torrijos

Stephanie Jane Torrijos, 61 of Indianapolis, died April 18, 2022. She was born November 13, 1960, in Logansport, Indiana to James and Sandra Tocco Hipsher.

Stephanie was dedicated to her family and friends. Stephanie had a passion for shopping and caring for her grandkids. She enjoyed dancing and having a good time with those around her. She enjoyed quiet times sitting in a park. She always put others needs before her own. She would help the homeless around her, whether it was offering them food and even a blanket or sleeping bag to keep them warm. Stephanie’s compassion will always be remembered, she always enjoyed having a good time. She was “Sassy”, always able to make someone smile. She never met a stranger. She was always there for others, especially her family.

Stephanie is survived by her parents James and Sandra Hipsher, children: Kristin (Wayne) Decker, Frank Helfrich Jr., Shauna Helfrich and Nichole Helfrich, sister Valerie Weddell, grandchildren: Mercedes King, Breanna Small, Shaun Small, Austin Heiny and Anthony Decker. She is proceeded in death by her sister Vonda Robbins.

A Celebration of Stephanie’s Life will be Saturday, April 30th at 2 pm at O’ Branson Funeral Home and Crematory, 6107 South East Street, Indianapolis, IN 46227. The family will receive family and friends from 11 am until the service time at 2 pm.

In memory of Stephanie the family request family and friends to please bring and donate a gently used or new blanket that can be donated to a local homeless shelter.

  3. My dear cousin, I could always count on you to make me laugh when we got together. Unfortunately we lived too far away from each other to get together to often. I will miss you so much. We were close cousins as you can get, when my dad’s brother (your dad) married my mom’s sister (your mom), you can’t get any closer than that. I will always love you. Rest in Jesus’ arms.
