  1. Dear Mr. Shipley and Family, Greetings and our deepest condolences from Astrid and my daughters, Natalia and Karen Lopez Cortes, from Pompano Beach, FL. Knowing the glorious news that Mrs. Shipley went to be with our Lord Jesus Christ, I remembered His Word in Philippians 1.3. I thank my God upon every remembrance of you (Mr. and Mrs. Shipley and all your lovely family). Back in 2006, thanks to Mrs. Shipley and other sisters in Christ, I started to home school my youngest when she was 8 years old; she learned English under Mrs. Shipley’s teachings with curriculum based on the Word of God, and I continued doing it until she graduated, even though all the struggles and difficulties. It was done by the mercies of God. And all of you were giving us love and support different ways, while we were serving at Verity. Giving thanks to our Creator, that His Word will sustain all of you, at this time of grieving. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. Praying for you. Love in our Redeemer, Astrid Cortes
