  10. I can’t begin to capture all the memories I have of Tammy from 30+ years of friendship. She was an incredible woman in so many ways. Compassionate and caring. Creative. Deep, spirit-filled, and faithful. Open, honest, loving.
We met when Jody was just a baby. Our friendship endured through good times and bad. She always had a kind word, a card to send, or a little gift to pass along–many that she had made with her own hands. Treasures from her heart.
Tammy gave so much of herself to children–her own, those she cared for, the ones she taught, actually any she had contact with. Guiding and guarding them along their paths.
One favorite memory from 1984. My family was headed to Florida for vacation. On the way we stopped at a rest stop in Macon Georgia. Coming around a corner from the bathroom, I encountered Tammy and her family. The Birds were headed to visit family in Florida too. After discussing our plans, we headed on our separate ways. Later that day, at our hotel, who knocks on our door? The Birds! They had switched their plan around and joined us for a fantastic day at Disney World! What fun! People loved our story of our surprise joint vacation. I’ll never forget it!
RIP Tammy! I know your mom was there to greet you at heaven’s gate. Give my Kevin a hug too!
I love you, dear one! You are an inspiration and an encourager to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

  15. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this sad time. Tammy was such an inspiration to all who knew her. She will be missed and remembered by her Marie Doll Friends.

  16. My deepest condolences to the Bird family. You have all been in my thoughts and prayers. She showed the true meaning of fighter. So sorry for your loss.

  17. My heart aches gently now knowing you are free from pain and in a place the rest of us can only dream of. We were not close, but our paths crossed enough that I know you will be greatly missed and still very loved.

  18. A couple weeks Tammy popped up in my thoughts as she has many times through the years. We both had our first baby at Methodist hospital, over 38 years ago. I remember she was pretty uncomfortable because she had a c section. We were both so young, yet she was so gracious and gentle. She showed interest in my child even though she had her own precious newborn.
A few months after that I came to her house and visited for awhile. We talked every now and then, but then I guess we both got caught up in life and lost contact. I’m sorry for that. She obviously had the same values as I do: we both stayed married to the same person and had more kids. I just wish we had stayed in touch.

  19. We are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this time.

  20. Some people come into our lives leave footprints on our hearts & and we are NEVER the same. Tammy was one of those VERY SPECIAL people! We are overcome with sadness & grief on the loss of our beloved friend from this earth; but we know that she is soaring with the angels in heaven & is in the presence of God. Tammy, please check in on our babies & rock & hug them for us. You will ALWAYS live on in our hearts!

  21. Tammy was one of those people who after meeting once, you felt you had known a lifetime. She was friendly and down-to-earth, and had such a generous, loving spirit. Even though she was facing her own battles at the time, she took time to send condolences to my family when my brother died. Tammy will live on in those loved ones she left behind – and there are so very many. Of course there is a part of her in Zack, each of her children, and Gage. But she touched so many others in her life and left a little piece of herself with each of them, too.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Bird family and I hope the wonderful memories they treasure will help ease their pain. May God bless each of you.

  22. So sorry for your loss. She was a inspiration to all she met. May God grant you peace and joy through this time of sorrow.

  23. My sweet and dear Tammy, you will be greatly missed but not forgotten because you will go on forever in our hearts and memories of all our great times together. You have touched many people and family. I am just glad and proud to say that I know you because you are a true inspiration. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family and all your wonderful friends because we all will miss you terribly. I know you will be up there with those loved ones who have left us and watching over those us of still here until we all will meet again. May you not be in anymore pain my friend. Love you, Michele from Michigan and family

  25. I am deeply sorry to each of Tammy’s family members for your loss. As her friend I also feel a deep loss. She touched so many hearts, affected so many lives, made memories to last a lifetime, yet life will not be the same without her. Tammy was an angel on earth and my life was made better for being fortunate enough to have had her a part of my life and to have called her my friend. Heaven has a new angel.

  26. Our hearts are with your family!
Love your Teamster Horsemen Chapter 69 family ߒհߒհߒհߒհߒ•

  27. There are no words that haven’t already been said about Tammy. Remember she drew strength from each of you and now you can draw strength from the wonderful memories she left you with.

  28. Tammy,
You were more like a sister to me rather than a sister in-law. You always went out of her way to make me feel welcome. You were very giving of herself to all you encountered. You made sure everyone else was taken care of. I feel a huge void is in the universe without you here. You will live on in our hearts and we will never forget how lucky we were to have you.. I will miss you dearly,

    Love,

    Doug

  29. I didn’t know Tammy very long, but I could sense a strength in her that really made an impression. I know she will always be watching over her loved ones. Blessed be.

  30. I will always cherish and remember the times I spent with Tammy. I loved her courage and the fight she gave to this horrible disease with such grace and dignity. Her smile was infectious and her kindness to others was huge. I know heaven is a better place now. RIP Tammy.

  31. My sincere condolences to the family for your loss. May the promises in God’s word provide you with comfort and strength during this most difficult time. John 5:28-29
