Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Tommy, I met you when I ran around with your sister in high school. You were the nicest guy. Always wanted to be part of our group. You were never a pest of a brother just the sweetest person to be around.  You were adorned by many and will be missed by those you leave behind but you will be with your family in heaven. My condolences to the family for your loss of your uncle.

  2. Thank you for this memory Shirley! As his neices and nephew we didnt get to know young Tommy. We love hearing the stories and memories about him. He will be missed.

  3. I was a childhood friend of Mary Jane’s but have lived away from Indy my adult life. Tommy was always so full of exuberance and joy, When  I would come to play.  He always gave me great big bear hugs and we would laugh and laugh.  This is a great opportunity for me to remember in prayer one of the most loving families I have ever been blessed to know.

  4. I grew up across the street from Tommy.  He was always a pleasure to be around and have many good memories of Tommy and all of the Blankman family.

  5. I grew up in Tommys neighborhood, when I think of him It makes me smile and warms my heart of all the memories of him.

  6. I would like to offer my condolences to Tommys nieces and nephews. I am Tommys 1st cousin Jim, son of Dorothy Blankman Witkemper. We lived in Millhousen and he in Indianapolis so we only saw them when they came to Grandma’s and Uncle Pauls to visit. Tommys smile and handshake were unforgettable so you didn’t have to see him often to remember him. He always made your own troubles seem trivial with his happiness and joy knowing he was enduring many things in his own life. I know God welcomed him with open arms and i’m sure Tommy shook His hand vigorously and gave Him a Tommy smile.

  7. Thank you so much for taking the time to share this! It confirms that he is truly unforgettable! We will miss him a great deal!

  8. I worked at DePaul and had the privilege to meet and work with Tommy. You shouldn’t have favorites, but Tommy was special and stood out from the others. What a loving and genuine character he was. I’ll always cherish my many “Tommy stories” and will never forget him. May he now be forever worry-free.
