Timothy Allen "Timmy" Whitsit

January 27, 1970 ~ November 29, 2022
Timothy Allen “Timmy” Whitsit, 52, of Indianapolis, went home to be with the Lord on November 29, 2022. After suffering a sudden cardiac event, Timmy was surrounded in love by family. Timmy was born on January 27, 1970, in Indianapolis to Richard Lee and Carol Sue (Stollings) Whitsit; Timmy’s father preceded him in death on July 25, 2020.
Timmy was a 1988 graduate of Southport High School where he played baseball. Timmy loved baseball and cheering on the Chicago Cubs. A sports fanatic, his love wasn’t limited to baseball; Timmy enjoyed cheering on the Indianapolis Colts and the Boston Celtics. Later in life, Timmy picked up golf and never shied away from sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm for sports with others. Most of all Timmy enjoyed playing games with his family, especially a good game of euchre.
Timmy dedicated his entire life to caring for others, but he was the ultimate caregiver for both of his parents. He was selfless, gentle, devoted, and a loving man toward everyone he met.
Timmy wanted everyone to know that he is at peace and wants everyone to live a full and beautiful life, remembering all the good times that were had. Timmy was joyfully greeted in heaven by his father, Richard Lee Whitsit and brother-in-law, William Albert “Bill” Shearer, II.
Survivors include his mother, Carol Sue (Stollings) Whitsit; sisters, Pamela J. Harding and Kristy D. Whitsit-Shearer; nieces and nephews; Anthony M. Whitsit, Tyler V. Whitsit, Morgan P. Scrimager, Jason P. Harding, Mason R. Harding, and Olivia R. Harding; many extended family members and friends.

I am sorry for your loss. Prayers For all…ߙ
Uncle Timmy,
I can’t believe your gone. The uncle you were to me was like no other. More like a father figure who stepped up and helped my mother raise me. You never asked for much but gave ALL you could. You felt it was sometimes easier to explain something to me rather it was school work or a project I was tackling because we learned kinda the same way. Even though I was a stubborn kid you showed patients and love. After school years, you always congratulated on how good of a man I grew up to be. I will take what you taught me and continue to honor you. I will miss you deeply but I know we will see each other again. Your nephew, Tyler Whitsit
Gosh 'Tim' you surely will be missed by All!!!
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
He really had such a gentle soul! Very kind, welcoming, knowledgeable, very selfless, did anything for anyone. So heart breaking! He’ll truly be missed!
I’m so sorry for your loss. With my deepest sympathy and fondest memories. As it’s very sad for us here, you’re rejoicing in the high Heavens now.
Uncle Timmy – gosh I never thought I would be writing this but I guess God takes the good ones too soon. I’m so thankful God gave you as my uncle . Even though I was a stubborn child and teenager & adult I truly did love you and cherish all the times we had together. From telling me your secret ingredient to spaghetti, to making fun of my history knowledge & then telling me what the right answer is to always being there for everyone in the family . You wouldn’t hesitate to help us when we would ask but sometimes you just did it before we even had to ask because your love is so big . Even though I don’t understand why God took you away , I have to trust it’s his plan and you are up in heaven with Grandpa & Uncle Bill. I can’t wait to rejoice in heaven with you! – Miss you already ! Your niece – Olivia ❤️

Timmy, I want to thank you for all the sacrifices you made for our family, the memories we made that I will forever cherish and for always being there for me. Whether it was teaching me how to play sports, playing video games all day or staying up all night trying to figure out how to do trigonometry together, I knew I would always be able to count on you to be there and get me through whatever I needed to. You were honestly the greatest uncle, mentor and friend anyone could ask for, and I was lucky enough to be able to call you all three. I promise to take everything you have taught me and continue to be there for our family just as you have been. Until we meet again… I love you and miss you
Your nephew Tony
