Toshiko Recasner

Toshiko Recasner, 88, of Greenwood passed away at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis on May 26, 2019. Toshiko was born on December 16, 1930 in Kure City, Japan to the late Setsugi and Koyone (Yamada) Kunishi. On February 14, 1954 she was united in marriage to her husband, Joseph C. Recasner, Jr. who survives.

Toshiko was a member of Saints Francis and Clare Catholic Church in Greenwood and was a stay at home mother. She also enjoyed gardening and was well known for taking walks around the neighborhood with her husband.

Toshiko is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Kiyoko Kunishi.

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Joseph C. Recasner, Jr.; children, James (Ann) Recasner of Bargersville, Indiana and Dorothy Brown (Steve Mungenast) of Raleigh, North Carolina; siblings, Tomohiro Kunishi, Takahide Yamada, and Misako Kanemoto; four grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
