I remember Mr Robinson in my early Kroger days in Plainfield Indiana. He was a great man. My sincere condolences to the family.
Carolyn – I am so very sorry for your loss. Mom and Dad had so many good times with you and Wally. They spoke of you often. With sympathy- Janet Kirschner (Joan Grieshop’s daughter)
Love you, Uncle Wally
Lots of wonderful memories with Wally and family! Of course being a Kroger man Joe has lots of memories with Wally and then with our families joined through marriage we continued to have many wonderful times together. He definitely is leaving a legacy with his children and grandchildren that will be carried on for many years. Praying for God’s healing and comfort for Carolyn and all of the children. He will be missed by all. Joe and Peggy Arnett
Carolyn,
As Wally probably told you, we lived in the same tent while in Japan for two years. Under those conditions, we all got to know each other quite well. We all enjoyed Wally. We did have fun together in the late 50s. Seems like yesterday!
June and I are so thankful that we stopped by to visit you two in Indianapolis. Great to talk about old times. Wally THANKS FOR THE GOOD MEMORIES. WE MISS YOU!
Dick and June Rogers
Carolyn, My deepest sympathy at this difficult time. I have many fond memories of working with Wally during his time in South Bend. He impacted a great many people making the working experience a positive one. I especially remember his joy when speaking of his kids and grandkids. You two were quite a couple. All the best to the family. Tim Coleman.
I was a fatherless 14 year old when I fierst met Wally Robinson. He gave my mother her first real job and allowed her to raise 5 children gracefully. He then gave my brother his first real job, and at 14, he gave me my first job. It seemed to me that Wally spent a lifetime giving….and there is not a man nor woman on this planet that I adored and admired more than my dearest frien, Wally Robinson. I grieve for the family, but I rejoice in knowing that they were and are surrounded by him every day of their lives. God bless the man that was and is better than a father to me. John Deckard
was given in memory of Wallace Ray “Wally” Robinson
Wally was my Mom’s manager in Bloomington at store J-183 when I was a little kid. My brother’s John & Doug Deckard worked for him as well. Years later when I followed them all, Wally was my zone manager. We all had respect & admiration for this man, Wally Robinson, a man of integrity & honor. He was not just my Mom’s boss, but a very dear friend to her over the years. Words can’t express how sorry I am for your loss. A great husband, father, grandpa, a great man.
